A fresh look for a growing food disruptor

A fresh look for a growing food disruptor

Skandl is a high-end food company with three distinct offerings: a seasonal ingredient market, luxury event catering, and private aviation dining. I was brought in to evolve their brand and create their first proper digital home—something that could unify the business while allowing each arm to shine in its own right.

Their original branding felt too corporate for a company rooted in bold flavour and creative craft. Rather than start from scratch, we elevated what was already there—refining the wordmark, keeping their North Star symbol, and softening the palette with warmer tones to introduce more hierarchy and personality. The result was a brand that balances professionalism with play—credible enough for private aviation, characterful enough for a forager’s market stall.

At the heart of it was a simple belief I brought to the table: food, and the experience around it, should be fun. That spirit informed every creative decision—from colour and type to tone and interaction.

Skandl website

The website began with a blank page—literally. We kicked off with a full discovery phase to understand not just what Skandl offered, but what it stood for. I worked with the founder to shape business goals into user goals, mapping out structure, priorities, and messaging from scratch.

The site needed to do a lot—host an online market, showcase experiences, and open up aviation enquiries—without feeling bloated or corporate. I handled everything from content development and UX to UI design and art direction, creating a site that feels premium, personal, and built to grow.
